At Jozi My Jozi, we are driven by the power of collaboration and a shared commitment to revitalising Johannesburg. Our projects span various key areas, from enhancing safety, security and infrastructure to fostering social change, promoting environmental sustainability, and uplifting sports, arts, culture, and tourism. Each initiative is carefully designed to address pressing challenges while celebrating the energy and vibrancy that make our city unique.
 
Below are projects that we have planned, and we need your support to make them a reality. With your help, we can turn these ideas into impactful initiatives that drive lasting change in our city.

Safety, Security and Environment

Carbon Credit Programme

CBD Fridays

Community participation and education though clean-up programme.

Parks

Adoption and upgrading of parks-safety, ablution, sport, activation and food garden.

Collaboration

Establishing an integrated platform for collaboration – Local provincial government and NGOs.

Child Welfare

Upgrading of the Drill Hall for inner – city Child Welfare

Clinics

Mobile Clinics for the inner – city.

Single parent programme

Support groups for single parents in the city/Soweto.

Reading glasses

Initiative to roll out free reading glasses to teachers, followed by learners (Spondored Programme).

Skills development

Collaboration with YCCI, SEF and SETA.

Imoirt tax / Levies

Engaging government regarding the reduction of import levies for Solar street lights.

SEZ/UDZ

Declaring the inner – city SEZ / UDZ.

City Kidz

Sport facility (lik Field of Dreams) for the eastern side of the city.

Ellispark athletics stadium

Upgrading the athletics stadium for dual purpose – soccer.

Music festival

Primedia/Ellispark/Standard Bank Arena collaboration.

Market theatre, Windy Brow theathre

Activation and classes for less privileged kids.

Festive lights

Install festive lights in December 2025.

Trees

Planning of trees, beautificstion of areas participating in clean-ups (Community engagement).
