Revitalising the CBD is not just about aesthetics; it is about restoring dignity, creating economic opportunities, and fostering a sense of belonging for all who live and work in, and visit the area. 

Recognising this, Jozi My Jozi (JMJ) has made the revitalisation of the CBD a cornerstone of its mission. Through its partnership with the Gauteng Provincial Government and the City of Joburg, JMJ is part of the CBD Fridays Clean-Up Initiative, a community-driven effort to clean, restore, and reimagine the CBD. 

The CBD Fridays Clean-Up Initiative: A Model for Collective Action 

The CBD Fridays Clean-Up Initiative is more than just a clean-up campaign; it is a movement that brings together government, businesses, residents, and volunteers to take ownership of their city. Every second Friday, teams gather at designated locations in the CBD to clean streets, remove litter, and restore public spaces.
